BO SHEPHERD

Bo Shepherd is an interior and furniture designer, artist, author, and the co-founder of Woodward Throwbacks, a Detroit-based design studio celebrated for its bold, character-rich spaces. With a degree in Transportation Design from CCS and a former career as a car designer at GM, Bo brings a sharp eye for form, function, and storytelling.

Her work blends industrial grit with refined detail—where custom furniture, salvaged materials, and layered textures come together to create interiors that feel raw, intentional, and artful. Every space is rooted in her ethos of honest design that honors where things come from.

Since launching Woodward Throwbacks in 2014, Bo has transformed a 24,000-square-foot former dealership into a thriving showroom and workshop where design meets Detroit history. She is the author of Throwbacks Home Interiors, which showcases 15 eclectic Detroit homes that celebrate sustainability and storytelling.
