Tyrone Jack is an oil painter and automotive design modeler whose work blends technical precision with expressive storytelling. A Howard University Fine Arts graduate, he has spent nearly two decades in automotive design at General Motors, contributing his artistic skills to the development of numerous production vehicles seen on the road today. Throughout his career in automotive design, he has continued to pursue his passion for painting.
Working primarily in oils, Jack creates bold, colorful works inspired by Black cultural experiences, portraiture, wildlife, and the beauty found in everyday life. His background in design shapes his attention to form, composition, and craftsmanship, while his Trinidadian roots and connection to Caribbean culture bring another perspective to how he explores identity and personal stories through his work. Each painting reflects a strong sense of emotion, personality, and lived experience.
After years of creating art for personal enjoyment, Jack has expanded his practice into exhibitions, original art sales, and commissioned work. This evolution marks a new chapter in his artistic journey, focused on creating meaningful work and sharing it with collectors and the broader community.
